Hello there! I am a prospective NIU Nursing student! I currently have a 3.9 GPA and I got a 110 on the Accuplacer... I have gotten into all my other schools like AU, Bradley, Western IL, Saint Xavier, but I sit here waiting on NIU! Does anybody know when NIU will contact you if you got in (transfer students)? I am very eager! NIU is my goal school and I got into all my other options, but I WANT NIU THE MOST! The suspense is killing me and anybody with more info I would greatly appreciate it! OR anybody else who is applying to NIU for 2013 join in! I'm curious to see what the prospective students are bringing to the table! Chat with ya later.

You can see what you have left to complete in "My Academics" for the prereqs, then this is what is required the first semester:

NURS 303
Foundations of Nursing Clinical (2)
NURS 304
Health Assessment (1)
NURS 305
Foundations of Nursing (3)
NURS 307
Health Assessment Lab (1)
NURS 308
Alterations in Biological Systems (3)
NURS 349X
Critical Thinking (3)
I only got that list of classes from the information brochure, its on the nursing section of the website where they talk about the program. 3 days a week isn't bad, how far of a drive would you have? I'm going a little crazy, I just want them to send the letter! ;p I have to take nutrition over the summer if I'm in, so I don't want to register for it at waubonsee if I'm not. Then I have a chemistry left too to take next semester, so I'm hoping to get in for Spring, not Fall.
It's about an hour drive, I live in Crystal Lake. The main reason I was hoping to keep it to 2 days is that it would be one less day to have to find childcare! At least Thursday will be a half day instead of a full day, that will help keep costs down. I just want the damn letter too! The waiting is killing me! I'm completely done with pre-reqs after this semester so I'm very much looking forward to having the summer off. :) 5 weeks until graduation!

Never mind, found it.
How can you tell which classes are required the first semester?
