Nipissing SPP 2nd entry 2014

Published

Anyone applied to the Nipissing Spp, 2nd Entry nursing?

I went for the interview in May and now waiting to hear back.

Anyone heard from them yet?

Also, if you have any information on the program, I am curious to know more about it.

I haven't heard anything yet. However, they told me I'll hear from them by end of June. How did you think the interview went?

Overall good, I think. One important question I screwed up on. I didn't really talk about my learning style. I prepared for that question but just lost my train of thought. How did the interview go for you?

End of June seems like such a long time. Last week I was told they would be sending out offers 'shortly' but that could mean anything. I hope in the next 2 weeks we hear something back as I would like to go out of the city by end June.

What were your guys averages for the SPP program?

@Talstar, my interview was alright. I wasn't asked that question regarding the learning style. Most of my questions were pulled from my personal statement. So, I guess interview questions vary from each individual. I got an offer from SPP last week and I am most likely going to go there since, I haven't heard from other universities yet!!

@kaydee, I am not sure how they calculated my GPA since they look at best 20 courses I believe. My cGPA is. Mid B. I took a few anatomy, physiology and psychology courses post grad and they were A.

@Hope15 Congrats on your acceptance! So far I have got an acceptance from Humber and Nipissing SPP. I too will most likely be going to the Nipissing SPP program. I'm a little worried because it is a small program with a very different philosophy on teaching but this could be a good thing. I also don't know anyone who is in the program or who has completed it. I PM you my email address, maybe we can keep in touch before classes start.

@kaydee they look at the best 10 FCEs (or 20 half courses), I have about a 82%.

Congratulations Hope15 and Talstar on your acceptance into the program. I will be attending this year too. I am very excited, but nervous at the same time, given that it is still a relatively new program. I've really liked what I've read about it so far, but still wish I could connect with an actual graduate to get a better sense of what to expect. I guess I'll be seeing you guys in September (never mind that I won't know who you are lol)!

Congratulations to you too Jacan! When did you hear about your acceptance and have you heard from them regarding enrolment deposit or enrolling in classes?

Well, I was accepted into the program back in 2012, but for financial reasons, I chose to defer. They then suspended the program for 2013 and reopened for 2014. I received an email from them around March or April that basically stated that my offer of admission still stood, and so I accepted. I've already paid the $200 deposit requested in my offer letter, so now I am just waiting for my official package to come in the mail with all the information about enrolling in classes and all of that good stuff.

Hello everyone,

Congratulations on your acceptances. I was wondering how the interview process went for you all? I haven't given an interview for a professional program before and I am not sure how I should prepare for it. I will be applying to the program next year. Also, what are your stats?

please i just got admission into the nippisisng spp programe. and was posted to torornto public health can anyone tell me how the programe works

Just curious how long it took you to receive a response from the time of your interview. I had my interview a week ago and am finding it hard to wait. They said 1-2 weeks but I'm not sure if they update the my.nipissing Admission Status before they send you something in the mail. Any info would be super helpful!
