  1. I was on the waitlist for UofT, I'm pretty sure Group 1 but just got a rejection via email. Good luck to all on the waitlist!
  2. I'm on the waitlist too. Not sure what group though. They had told me that at any point we could hear from them, as spots open up, until September 5th.
  3. Got an email yesterday saying that I am on the UofT waitlist. I didnt ask which group i'm in though.
  4. To those who didn't get a reply from UofT, I emailed them today and they basically said that offers of admission can still be made until June 30th. So even though wait list and rejection offers are being sent out, there are also offers of admission being sent out too.
  5. @an16 @butter I don't know much about the Nipissing program other than what's on their website. I have yet to meet one person who is going there or who has graduated from there. Are you saying there are 50 spots in total or 50 more spots left? Also, they didn't disclose a cut-off avg but you need a minimum of 70% in 10 Best FCE's. Like UofT they look at your application holistically. You also need to have your degree conferred by 30th June. All of this info is from their website. Unfortunately I have not called in to ask for any other stats. @an16 I applied early to Nipissing and got in. So I want to start a FB group. Is there one already? I have sent you a PM.
  6. No email from UofT yet. I have no research experience and have done part time undergraduate school both of which are looked at negatively. I also did poorly during my first two years of university so my cGPA is low. I do have good references and work experience and a high GPA (3.8 in last 5 FCEs). At this point I wonder if they have sent out all acceptances since they have already started sending out wait-list offers. To those on the UofT waitlist, would you mind sharing your stats, GPA etc. I just cant believe that all the 180 students who get accepted have research experience, high GPA or have completed a grad program.
  7. @Hope15 Congrats on your acceptance! So far I have got an acceptance from Humber and Nipissing SPP. I too will most likely be going to the Nipissing SPP program. I'm a little worried because it is a small program with a very different philosophy on teaching but this could be a good thing. I also don't know anyone who is in the program or who has completed it. I PM you my email address, maybe we can keep in touch before classes start. @kaydee they look at the best 10 FCEs (or 20 half courses), I have about a 82%.
  8. I noticed some people have asked about a UofT waitlist. Is there even such a thing? Although, I am wondering if you don't get in by the 30th of June, then do they then create a waitlist? We only have 2 weeks more (or hopefully less) of waiting as June 30th is the deadline for decisions to be sent out via email.
  9. Yes, they say they take your 10 best FCEs. I assumed they select them from all your undergrad courses but I didn't confirm this with the department. I just applied and hoped for the best. Good Luck to you for next year!
  10. You should go to their website, that's what I did or email the department to get all the specific requirements for the program. I had an 82% on 10 FCEs
  11. thanks! I got the call around 10-11am. They would call on the phone # that you gave through ontario colleges when applying. You could even call the nursing department and ask them where you stand on the wait-list, I did that. Today I got a conditional acceptance from Nipissing SPP 2nd Entry. Waiting to find out what are the conditions of the offer. I most likely will decide to go there since it's 2 years vs. Humber that has a prep semester. So that will be another Humber spot opening up. Good Luck!
  12. If you meet the cut-off for UofT does it mean that you get in? I thought that UofT looks at applications for experience, grades and also prefers degree holders. Just got into Humber-UNB. A new wait-list was created with the Winter 2014 grades submitted and now they are calling people individually as spots open up. If anyone is waiting on Humber-UNB, June 25th is when we have to pay the $500 tuition fee deposit. So usually they have people drop out on or before that date as well.
  13. Overall good, I think. One important question I screwed up on. I didn't really talk about my learning style. I prepared for that question but just lost my train of thought. How did the interview go for you? End of June seems like such a long time. Last week I was told they would be sending out offers 'shortly' but that could mean anything. I hope in the next 2 weeks we hear something back as I would like to go out of the city by end June.
  14. Anyone applied to the Nipissing Spp, 2nd Entry nursing? I went for the interview in May and now waiting to hear back. Anyone heard from them yet? Also, if you have any information on the program, I am curious to know more about it.
  15. Once you are given an alternate offer you are no longer considered for the compressed program.
