Nipissing SPP 2020 Applicants

Hi! I am applying to Nipissing's Scholar Practitioner Program for Fall 2020. I am really excited about it and would love to connect with other students who are in the same boat!

How is your application going?

I am definitely a little bit more nervous now. I was really looking forward to having that additional opportunity to try and solidify a spot in the program. Hope everyone is staying safe through this time. Best of luck! April can’t come soon enough!

I was accepted into the program last year and deferred my acceptance to Sept 2020. Looking forward to meeting you guys in September ?

Guess it will all come down to essay, casper, prerequisite marks, and reference letter at this point. Who did you guys get to write your reference letters?

I'm glad they're looking out for everyone's health and well-being!

I got my supervisor for my master's to write my reference letter. But I honestly feel like my essay and casper scores weren't good. I know some people with similar GPAs to myself got into western and I still haven't gotten in, so I feel like I probably didn't do as well on the casper test. I'll just have to wait and see though ?‍♂️

Health Science! Who did you get to write your reference letter? Also, I'm wondering if you had a similar issue, I felt like I couldn't go very in-depth for my essay because we didn't submit a CV/resumé and we were limited to two pages.

A physician that I work with. I work at a hospital downtown ? Do you work in the medical field already? I wasn't too worried about the essay but def worried about Casper because you never know how you did!

Cool! ?Most of the work I have done in the health/medical field has been in a research capacity or volunteer work. Yeah, I don't like being in the dark about our Casper scores, I still don't understand why they don't release the scores if students are paying for it... but that's the way it goes I guess.

Hey everyone! Did any of your statuses on MyNipissing change today? I know they said they would be letting us know their decision in April, but I just happened to check and it said Offered Waitlist spot?
