Hi! I am applying to Nipissing's Scholar Practitioner Program for Fall 2020. I am really excited about it and would love to connect with other students who are in the same boat!
How is your application going?
I see it more like how they will teach us. Instead of traditional lecture styles, we will be sharing our clinical experiences in the lectures.
For example: instead of the nurse educators telling us the symptoms of, say, bronchitis, they will share with us a story of how they once had a patient with bronchitis, and their thought process. It allows us to reflect too.
Hope this helps...but again...I'm not too sure myself ?

I am currently preparing for my interview for SPP and was wondering if anyone had any insight on the "preparatory activity prior to the interview" or any tips for the interview.
Thanks!
I checked on last year's thread and apparently they had to write about what the word courage means to them. It could be completely different for us but I think it's probably something creative (not knowledge based).

@Nurse.I thanks for emailing them!! Universities including Nipissing have started shifting to online classes so in-person interviews getting cancelled is becoming a very real possibility now. I prefer in-person over video call interviews so I am nervous about what is going to happen!

How are all you feeling about the cancellations? I understand and appreciate the cancellations but I am definitely a little nervous knowing that we won't have that additional chance to talk about our skills and dedication to the program. I really hope this is all for the best and good luck everyone. Thanks for being so supportive throughout this process.
I guess the next time we hear from each other will be early to mid April. I can't wait!!

Can someone please explain to me how narrative inquiry is incorporated in the program? I understand what it is but how is it integrated into the curriculum specifically??
