Nights 8 hr -weekend question

If you were doing 8hr nights 2300-0700-what days would you choose as your weekend?

Fri/ Sat?

Sat/ Sun?

Fri/ Sun?

I need help deciding. I am married with schoolage kids and dh works M-F days.

Saturday-Sunday all the way...You wont have to go in till Saturday night, so you have all day Sat free. Sleep Sunday, then go into work Sunday night and sleep while kids are in school monday. That is my dream sched!!!

I'd choose Friday/Saturday off(that's what my husband now has and he works nights); that way you come off work Friday morning, can take a nap while the kids are in school, be alert for your family in the afternoon/eve, have all day Saturday free after a good night's sleep and have most of Sunday free too until you lay down for a nap around 6pm or 7pm.

I currently do three 12's (1900-0700) but all the nurses who do 8's all do the Fri/Sat off.
