The night shift last night was so upsetting thank god it is my day off today I am back working next week starting on a day shift last night was the worst we lost one of our dearest patients to a cardiac arrest he lost his fight for life last night at 12.05am it was so sad we wanted to save him but there was an advanced directive form present so we just had to stand back and turn off his monitors how sad last night was I will never forget him. god bless him and his family

So sorry to hear that. Your patient was lucky to have a caring nurse like you with him during his final moments.

Take comfort in knowing that he was surrounded by caring people in his final hours. That's how it should be. God Bless You.
thanks for all your lovely comments I'm sure you make lovely nurses too all of you these comments have made me feel a whole lot better his mum has aked me to go to his funeral I am thinking of going
