2009 NGCSU Bridge program chance of getting in

Published

Has anyone gotten in NGCSU with a 3.0 GPA. I am taking the TEAS January 9, 2009. I have completed most core class, except for A&P, MICRO AND HISTORY. I've been licensed since 2004 , but have only worked 8 months since becoming license. I had two babies 2005 and 2007. I need any info on my chances of getting into the bridge program and what is their scoring system:confused:

I HIGHLY recommend you finish your core classes, especially A&P and Micro, before starting the nursing classes. If you do the bridge program, that means before the summer that you take the transitional class and nutrition. Second year nursing classes are EXTREMELY time consuming and while it is possible to complete core classes along with them, it is not recommended. There's just too much at stake. These are only my opinions, though. Have you tried calling their office? The secretaries are very very sweet and helpful. Good luck on your TEAS!

I would agree with the help at NGCSU...I have taken the TEAS up there and got in the first round...however, I've had to pull back from school after having a craniotomy and now pregnant with my second child...even the secretaries were awesome with my situation...they really want you to succeed up there. The TEAs was pretty easy, very similiar to the ACT...

Hi.I'm applying to this school as well. I also take mt teas test Jan. 9. What time do you take the test? I take it at 9am at Kennesaw State. The only class I have to finish up though is human growth, humanities, and Eng 2. I'm finish with all my science classes. I take my final exam in micro. today.

Thank you. It sounds overwhelming. I am trying to get in summer 2009 because Georgia is suppose to be fading out there LPN to RN-ASN programs. I believe GPC finish there last class this year. At August State the last one is summer 2009. The economy is not great, so I need to finish up. If my chances are slim I want spend to much time trying to get in NGCSU.

I took my TEAS test January 9th. I received my acceptance letter from NGCSU Saturday. The best Valentine's Day gift ever. Have anyone else received acceptance. I am looking for some people to possibly carpool with. Good luck everyone!

LovnLife-

I got that great valentines gift too! I was shocked- I wasn't expecting anything until April.

I'm going to be at the Gainesville campus. I live in Gwinnett, so it is just 19 miles from my home. Where will you be?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Lucky you! Every school, NGCSU, Gordon, & Georgia Highlands, I planned to go to are at least 50 minutes away from me here in Fayetteville. I guess I could have applied to Clayton. I believed I had a better chance at getting into a program at the previous 3. Plus I would like to complete the ASN, pass the NCLEX, then continue the BSN program. NGCSU is better because they have the BSN so we can continue on. Well, I was accepted to the Lanier Campus. It was a little closer for me. So, I just have to do what I have to do.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!:yeah: I will see you out in the field because NGCSU students are great!!!:lol2:

The Lanier campus is where I will be! I say Gainesville, it's actually in Oakwood. I wouldn't be of much help in getting you there from Fayetteville though! I have obsessively been reading all the old threads on NGCSU! It seems like in the first year we will just have two days a week that we will go to class and/or clinicals and then in the second year it will be three days. So at least you would not have to drive all that way every day of the week.

Have you already heard from Gordon and Georgia Highlands? Are you definitly going to choose NGCSU?

I know. . .i have been reading them also. Georgia Highlands App deadline is April 1. Gordon App deadline was Feb. 1. So nothing from them yet. I will definitely attend NGCSU. Not like I care but the Lanier campus is closer to Cummings, right? I remember there being a Cummings and a Gainesville campus. But yes, right, I can do that drive for 2 -3 days a week. Plus, like I stated, it is easier for us to continue for the BSN at NG than to apply to another school. The other 2 schools offer ADNs only. It is so nice to meet someone that will a part of the 2011 RN class. We are going to do this! :heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe:D It has been 7 years since I have been to college. Well, i was attending Gordon this semester because my science classes more than 5 y/o. Gordon required me to tke A&P I, II, and Micro again. Forget them now. I am going to read, rest, take vacations, and enjoy life prior to Fall 2009. Let's try to round-up some more classmates and make sure we keep in-touch!:coollook:
