Congrats to everyone who got accepted!! I submitted my application in September. My checklist is gone now. How long did it take for you all to receive a decision after the checklist disappears? It’s super nerve recking LOL.

For me, I got accepted the next day

When did you submit your application? And do you mind sharing with us some of your stats and if you completed all your prereqs. I’m insecure over here and want to compare since I haven’t heard yet LOL ughhh

I submitted my application Feb 24th I believe. I don't think stressing over your stats is necessary. I saw people who shared their stats and they had stellar grades, but NYU doesn't focus solely on grades. For my prereq stats, I don't know exactly what my prereq GPA was but I had like one C for gen chem 2 and then my cumulative was 3.6. I did show an upwards trend in my GPA but most of my courses were premed courses and the trend was like from a 3.2 to a 3.7, then 3.9, then 4.0. I also volunteered around 200 hrs in the ED of my hospital and trained new volunteers, did around 600 hrs of internship abroad at a nursing school under nurse practitioners in which I did case presentations and performed differential diagnoses for different patient cases, had around 200 hrs volunteering as a RA in another hospital, and I also had 4 years or so of teaching/tutoring(not a licensed teacher) and some of my students were those with learning difficulties. But, please don't stress and compare your stats with mine-- there's no saying high stats will make you a good nurse and there's no way of knowing what kind of applicants NYU wants to accept. Please don't compare and stress yourself out and just be proud of the long way you've come and all the effort you've put in. Best of luck!

Wow I can see why they accepted you so fast. Amazing. What can you do as a volunteer at an ED?

For those of you that got accepted: did they ask you for a midterm report?

I didn't get asked to provide one.

I just had the generic tasks of stocking supply carts, running specimens up to lab, getting medications, and then whatever nurses and doctors needed. So sometimes I would help translate, other times nurses would ask me to watch a patient as they were very busy--nothing too spectacular.

How long after the checklists disappeared did you guys receive a decision notification?

Does anyone know approx how many people applied for the fall 2022 ABSN program and how many applications they typically accept per cohort?

I found the answer on Reddit. NYU had approx. 150 people per cohort.

According to the acceptance amount on the facebook group, there are about 20 people are accepted per week. I read all the threads of the applicants in fall 2021. The decision made before June is all good news and the decision made after June are waitlisted or rejected. There are four weeks between April and June, so that means 8 * 20 = 160 people will be accepted.

Did anyones who’s checklists disappeared NOT get in…?

Specializes in Pre Nursing Student.

Good Question, cause if not then we can all assume who got in and who didn't before getting notified.

Mines not gone and no I didn’t get in , but I know someone who did get in and their checklist was gone a few days before they got accepted

I want to confirm I’m understanding your post correctly. Did you receive confirmation that you did not get into the program? Or are you still waiting to hear back? I applied to the non-accelerated program, and I’m anxiously waiting to hear back.
