New York University (NYU) Non-Accelerated/ABSN Fall 2022

Published

Hey everyone I haven't seen a forum for the fall 2022 deadline for NYU's ABSN non-accelerated and accelerated pathway yet soo I decided too start one so we can all stress out together in these next few months of applying

I was admitted as well! I submitted my app late February.

Since decisions come out on a weekly basis, I'm assuming we hear back every Tuesday? I don't want to excessively check my email everyday LOL for my own sanity

I just got accepted as well!! I am still finishing up on my prerequisites so it’s contingent on that but I had a 3.95 GPA and work as a patient navigator in a hospital. Congratulations to my fellow team and I wish everyone luck in the acceptance process!

Congrats! Is your 3.95 GPA the first major or prerequisites?

Thank you! My first degree, haven't finished all my pre reqs yet

Does anyone know how many applicants we have this time? I noticed that our Fall 2022 posts received fewer replies than Spring 2022.

Are there any students admitted with low GPA? My cumulative GPA is very low, only 2.4, but my prereq GPA is high, about 3.9. I wrote my own personal statement, which was not that strong. The application was submitted at the end of March. I feel like I'm gambling. Hhhh...

I feel like yes? But who knows, at least we know we don't need to check today or tomorrow

I submitted mine near the end of Feb

When you say end of Feb, how late do you mean? I submitted mine Feb 25th and haven't heard back so I'm anxious ?

I submitted it Feb 24th, but I don't think when you submitted it really matters, so don't be discouraged! My friend submitted hers around the same time as you and she hasn't heard back yet either.

I have 3 years of experience in a medical office, a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and I'm expecting a 3.0 pre-req GPA after my 2 IP classes. My application is by no means competitive but I was asked to submit a mid-term report. My grades right now are absolutely abysmal. I am confident in bringing my grades up in these classes but if I were to send them the grades now, I think it will only hurt my application. I have two other midterms in a few days but I'm afraid those grades won't help too much and it might take a while to get them back. I don't know if I should just withdraw my application so I can apply for Spring 2023 or risk having to wait until next Fall 2023 to apply. I'm open to suggestions.

I don't know what the correct choice to make in this decision is, but I feel like you can't really tell what NYU is basing their decision off of--it might not be a sole focus on grades. Sure, the people who shared their stats have stellar grades, but I can assure you my stats were not as high as theirs and I still go accepted. My stats aren't bad, but I'm just saying that you never really know if you'll end up accepted or not just based off of the competitiveness of your grades, so I would say to hang in there and see what happens.

Yeah, I think I’m just going to shoot my shot and hope they don’t focus too much on my mid-term grades.

I agree with you. Give it a try. I think you'd better try your best to focus on the following exams. Too much anxiety will only affect your performance. Just relax and you can make it.
