Thread for New York University ABSN FALL 2025 students applicants:
Hi everyone, I made this thread so that those applying to the NYU ABSN Fall 2025
Ask questions about deadlines, prerequisites, GPAs, and more.
Hi everyone,
I applied for the NYU ABSN program for the Fall 2025 priority deadline. Has anyone received any updates?
I was wondering too and tried to do a side by side based on what they recommend/recommended for Fall/Spring/Summer/Fall in the below links, but it doesn't line up exactly. I was accepted and I am excited, but would like more information on the change as it relates to the NCLEX (maybe it was discussed at an information session I missed):

Wow! This chart is amazing! Thank you!!
So basically they combined pathophysiology and pharmacology into one class spanning two semesters rather than taking pathophysiology one semester and pharmacology in the next. Also we don't have Adult and Elder going in first semester rather Fundamentals and then second semester we'll have Adult and Elders. In addition to a lot of classes being renamed but I'm sure we'll still be learning the same things and have our elective classes in our last semester.
I'm a little concerned and confused why they combined the two most difficult classes into one. The only reason I can think of why they did this is because they want us to retain the information for a longer span of time since maybe students forget information from pathophysiology that piggy back into pharmacology the next semester. They're both super jam packed I wonder how it's gonna unfold. But regardless, I know that we can do it!

Thank you! I didn't really know how to interpret some of the changes and combinations though, so that was all really helpful to know, thank you kindly for your insight!! And very much agree, we can do it!!
@FutureBSN3173 I applied to Mount Sinai too (although submitted my application a little late last week and of course am waiting to hear from them). I heard the programs are pretty close to one another. As far as beneficial, I'm still debating which school I'll be attending for sure. I mean, they are both really good schools with great hospitals and prestigious also. That said, from my extensive research, the cons of NYU had to do with its high tuition only. As to Mount Sinai, people were complaining about how disorganized the school was during COVID- again COVID is gone and I believe the school is better now. On the other hand, Mount Sinai has many many hospitals in which we could benefit from at a later time.
I feel anxious for having to make a decision between these 2 schools (in case I get in to MS too). PACE is my last option and I was also accepted there.
either way, I don't think there's anything wrong with either school. I'm sorry for not giving you a more solid answer.
