@salex If you are finishing your AP1 this Fall, I would recommend taking AP2 and Microbiology at Portage Online (which is acceptable my the majority of the schools, including NYU)-that's what I did. The good thing is that at Portage, you can take it at your own pace but the least amount of time is 1 month. So, you can still be taking your AP2 and Micro in December and January and definitely apply for Spring 2026 at NYU while taking the pre-reqs. I know tons of people who did that and were still accepted into our program at NYU. If you have questions about Portage Learning,, let me know and I will give you the tea.

@salex In order to be approved and to benefit from 1199 CPT you MUST graduate by Spring 2027- I believe if you start in Spring 2026, you will be able to graduate by Spring 2027. Unless I am doing my math incorrectly. We don't take Summer breaks.

@Lis15 The group is still there- I'm in it. The person whom created the group might have clicked somewhere unintentionally. Creating a new group might confuse everyone else (33+ ppl). Have you thought about reaching out to the person who created the group?

hi @Laziza Khamidova I believe the school will be sending an email in June regarding next steps (registering for classes also) etc. Also, the school should be assigning the classes to this group Fall 2025 at the same time- we should follow their list, so it doesn't make sense to be assigning classes randomly. As far as Portage learning: I took 5 classes with them and I liked it. However, they are very strict with their policies, for instance: their system flagged me twice: first time, they claimed I was looking to the side during a test, which I was; but I explained to them that I needed to look from side to side in order the finish reading the whole question, So this was just dumb! The second time, they claimed one of the answers for a test was flagged that I had used AI LOL. Then I found out that when I wrote for instance "they are not...." then their system would interpret this as if I had used AI tool; then I started using short phrases such as "you aren't" then their system was more likely to accept it as a normal answer. Overall, it was easy going but this strict policy drove me mad. I don't think I will take Pathophysiology and/or Pharmacology with Portage only because I'm much older now and I'm afraid that I won't retain much of the information, and I really don't want to be left behind during the semesters ahead. Other than that, I would actually recommend Portage. I hope this helps.

@JeniJam this is a really good summary of what to do. Thank you so much! I'll get started with it this week to get this done by July 15th (I believe this is the deadline). You're right- if anything else comes up, I'll send an email to them. I'm getting nervous for our first semester. LOL

@aliali002 you're not late at all. You have plenty of time until the deadline (June 1). Honestly, from what I've been seen, people heard back pretty quickly after their documents were all in. Mine is delaying because of the NursingCAS system glitch with the link for recommendation letters. I'm disappointed but hopefully it'll work out this time. And don't give up on submitting your application- you have time. Good luck and keep us posted on submission/and responses. Hopefully I'll come here to share good news from my end LOL. My anxiety is through the roof.

@aliali002 I haven't heard back yet. One of my referrals reached out to me saying he's never received any email from either Mount Sinai or NursingCAS for him to upload my recommendation letter- which sucks since my application will only be reviewed once all documents are in. So I had to reach out to NursingCAS this morning for them to resend the links. I'm so apprehensive, honestly.

@JeniJam I did send my deposit. I do have my email, NET ID and N number. I guess I'm a bit confused with the vaccination records considering I am from another country but do have all my vaccines checked. Not sure if I'd have to get my vaccine records translated or what. Then of course, there are other vaccines to be taken before classes start. That's where I am lost.

hi all, Did anyone start or complete the checklist of essential items that we would need to complete before we can begin courses at NYU? The whole thing is confusing me already- too many items and too many links/pages to click on to guide us to another page. @Caroline McDonald I believe the schools will send rejections after all spots are fully taken (deposit + other enrollment ready to go etc) only because at this point us (same students) are also being accepted to other schools as well. So I believe it makes sense to have a rejection from us then the schools will be sure they're filling all spots. I hope my thought makes sense LOL.

@FutureBSN3173 I applied to Mount Sinai too (although submitted my application a little late last week and of course am waiting to hear from them). I heard the programs are pretty close to one another. As far as beneficial, I'm still debating which school I'll be attending for sure. I mean, they are both really good schools with great hospitals and prestigious also. That said, from my extensive research, the cons of NYU had to do with its high tuition only. As to Mount Sinai, people were complaining about how disorganized the school was during COVID- again COVID is gone and I believe the school is better now. On the other hand, Mount Sinai has many many hospitals in which we could benefit from at a later time. I feel anxious for having to make a decision between these 2 schools (in case I get in to MS too). PACE is my last option and I was also accepted there. either way, I don't think there's anything wrong with either school. I'm sorry for not giving you a more solid answer.
