Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a forum for NYU's Fall 2023 ABSN program, and decided to start one. Please feel free to add any information related to the program, application process, any tips, stats, words of encouragement for those accepted into the program, etc. All the best to everyone. I hope everyone's new year is off to an amazing start! ?

I only applied to Pace and NYU and got into both, and I think that was the case for someone else on this thread. So if that trend continues, then you'll probably get into NYU
Thank you I appreciate it ? I haven't heard back from NYU but I honestly don't expect to get in (I've been to 2 different colleges and my cumulative GPA is a 3.06). People that got in have impressive stats of 3.6-3.8 GPAs. I've pretty much committed to LIU Brooklyn for nursing unless I get into NYU but I don't know how I'm going to afford NYU (loans are not an option International Student with no U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident co-signer).
NURSING STUDENT ZNG said:So I got into NYU, PACE, WAGNER. I declined PACE since it is only 11 months. I paid my deposit for WAGNER, since I wasnt sure if I would get into NYU.
I am still debating if I should choose NYU or Wagner. I would be very happy to get some advice on this.
As an International student, I don't get any financial aid. So NYU is 120K vs Wagner is 80k.
Commute to Wagner is only 15-20 minutes by car VS NYU is 1.5 hours maybe longer.
I have until this Monday to let NYU know regarding my decision.
hey! just curious why you declined pace if it's only 11 months? isn't that a good thing? I am choosing between nyu and pace and the 15 month versus 11 month factor is making me lean toward pace more so that I could start working faster, but I am interested in why you say the opposite? totally just curious!

It's very intense for me. I don't think I will be able to work during school. Also, I looked at the NCLEX passing rates. 15 months is already accelerated so I won't be able to do that fast paced.

I just got accepted today!
I'm trying to understand how to read the financial aid package. What does "Estimated outstanding costs not covered by scholarships, grants, or optional financial aid" mean? Is that the cost of the program after financial aid? Because on the top of the page, it says total cost of attendance "$90,658"?

LIU Brooklyn would allow you to complete that missing pre req over the Summer before the program starts and would allow you to register for nursing courses and they wouldn't get drop as long as you complete that pre req over the Summer or this Spring Semester or whatever your case is. Hope that helps ?
