It's a little early but I figured I would start this thread as we all begin to get our applications in!

Congratulations!!! I also applied "Second Degree Transfer" and have prerequisites to finish before starting the ABSN, if accepted.
Would you mind sharing your stats and how many prereqs you have left to finish? Also when did you submit?
Thanks! ?

Hi Kaitlyn!
I submitted on March 1st. I am not sure if my courses will be applicable towards their prerequisites (I took a few sciences online and my stats class is an AP course from high school which I've heard doesn't count), so there's a chance I'll be taking quite a few!
Some additional background: 3.7 GPA Communication Degree. Have worked in corporate/community fundraising at a Children's Hospital for the past two years and have a good deal of philanthropic volunteer experience (geared towards health causes) but no clinical experience.
Best of luck and keep me updated - would love to have a second degree friend!

Awh, I would love a second degree friend too! haha
Thanks for sharing all of that! Your stats seem somewhat comparable to mine so I have hope!!! I'll message your directly to chat more!
Omg guys!!!! I have a theory about what is going on here! Lol
So I mentioned in the past that I was told they review based on if you applied "priority" and then alphabetically.. I was assuming they meant alphabetically by last name but it seems like they are going alphabetically by first name!! Alexandra, Alyssa, Caroline, Dishaa, Emma, etc.. What do you guys think?!
Could the people who have been accepted confirm that they applied priority and that their name begins with a letter early in the alphabet?
Just a hunch

Well my names Alexandria and I sent it in the middle of january so maybe! Lol

Hmm, well maybe they cut off their review part way through the "E"s today and you'll hear back in the next round of decisions?
Not really sure haha. Just a hopeful thought. Best of luck regardless!!
Hi guys!
I didn't get an email, but I went on Albert, clicked on Application Status which took me to CLICK HERE TO VIEW YOUR ADMISSION DECISION...and there it was...MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER (I was honestly so shocked that these were released so early, but super excited obviously). I did get accepted to another school, where I put down a deposit. BUT NYU was always my top choice, so I will most likely go there. I did not receive any Financial Aid info yet..says it should be emailed within 7 days.
Grades are:
Micro - A
Chem - A
A&P I - A
A&P II - A
Dev - A
Statistics - A-
Nutrition - B+
2 Letters of recommendation
No previous experience in healthcare and no volunteer experience (I do here and there, but I didn't include any of that in my application).
I have a degree in Psychology, took most of my prerequisites at BMCC. I live in Brooklyn and my initials are AG...
Think I covered it all. Good luck y'all!
