Hey, has anyone else received an acceptance letter for the spring 2010 semester? :D

That's good, did they say when they would be mailing out the letters? I called too but they did not call me back yet.

Hely Melisi for some reason I cannot send you a PM so I have a question for you I am having trouble remembering conversions for Millliter and Kilogram etc all that junk is this a major part of the test I know all the other math jsut having trouble with this???? Is this a big deal I know all of liquid measures gallon liters oz etc.

No not at all. There are about 2-3 questions regarding liquid measurement but cant remember any milliliter or kilogram questions being on the test at all. I was also having trouble memorizing them, kept getting confused.

Just so everyone knows, I called St. Paul's yesterday and the man who was the admissions assistant no longer works there. I don't know if any of you have talked to him but he would be rude on the phone and not give out any information. Anyway he is gone and I think things are chaotic at the school until they fill his position so you all might want to call and check the status of you applications.

Got my acceptance letter on Friday and I'm so excited!! Just have to do do background check and drug testing. Did anyone else get accepted yet??

Hello OSuro,

I received my qualification letter for Admissions on Friday, 5/28/10. However, it is not an acceptance letter. You are accepted once your urine drug test and background check are reviewed and approved.

I do not know what they are looking for in the background check. Someone told me that you are okay if you do not have anything pending against you or if you do not have any felonies. The clinical sites are asking all students to be free of drugs and felonies now. I am in the process of arranging my lab and deposit of $500 right now.

I would like to get more info on financial aid and class scheduling for the Fall 2010 semester. I do not know if I will get in the day or evening session yet.

I just want to say that I go to a CUNY school in queens and professors do the same thing, they throw questions out if a majority of students get it wrong.

Hi everyone,

I know St. Paul's being accredited has been talked about over and over but just in case I missed something. I also called the school and was told it was approved by the board of education. I tried a search on this site ( not sure if its the correct one) and they did not show up U.S. Department of Education Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs

The school seems very confused about NLN accreditation. Does anyone know if they ever plan on applying for NLN accreditation? Since I'm unable to get an answer, I think I will have to call education affiliates. I understand that its a new school and it may take some time. Also, I've been to the office..are the classes taught there?

Hi Sundrop,

I too was confused by this and wanted to ensure that this was an accredited school. It is listed on the NYS Board of Nurses, and their NLN pass rate in 1998 was 91.5% It's also listed on NYS HESC when I applied for financial aid. The classes are thought there.
