New York Presbyterian Nursing Attendant

Published

Hi I'm new here and I originally posted this in the general forum but I think that posting this in the New York forum might be better. I recently applied to New York Presbyterian Nursing Attendant - BSN Students class of 2017 and 2018 and got a call back for an interview. I was wondering if anyone else has applied and has been through this process. For example, what to expect during the interview, what should I bring with me, what is like working for NYP and etc. ?

My interview was at 2, and I spoke with 2 people. She gave me her card too. I'm hoping for the best for both of us!

Yeah same here, when do you think we'll hear back by?

Hopefully in the next week. Let me know if you get a call back and I'll do the same!

Will do, do you have an email by any chance ? the site won't let me pm you

I took the skills tests for math and reading today. Did you guys hear anything yet? How many shifts do they require a week? Any news?

did you guys hear anything?

Yeah I want to know about the time commitment. How do you guys have 3 8 hour shifts as a nursing student?? Haha

I postponed my interview... Haha

did you ask them when they called you?

Hi, I haven't heard anything back yet, I'm starting to get worried that I didn't get the position and during my interview I chose the weekends Fri-Sun as my days 11-7.

Hi i was at that interview day as well! I have received a call back Wednesday night offering me the job! She did say in the interview that you can hear until the end of the week so maybe they are still making calls!

Congratulations and I hope so

I was interviewed on Tuesday at 11:40 even though my interview was at 10:40 (was there at 10:20) so waited 1 hour and 20 minutes. And I was called the next day, Wednesday evening, driving home from clinical lol and was offered the position! Unfortunately she said she only had evenings and nights but somehow I felt like she was pushing for me to take nights so I am doing 3 days of 8 hour overnight shifts. We'll see how this goes :)
