Hi! I have decided on St. Joe's in Syracuse because of their weekend program and their reputation. I was wondering if anyone here has gone there (or know someone who does) and could just give me some insight. Thank you !

I knew someone who went to St. Joe's she took some of her classes at JCC. I believe you have to get all of your other classes out of the way and do the Nursing core there. She seemed to enjoy it. Good Luck. Also St. Elizabeth in Utica also have a weekend program.

Specializes in Hey I'm now an RN!!.

As a reference to the last post, I have applied to St E's weekend program their job placement and board cert rates are excellent. Everyone I have spoken with feels they had a terrific education there. Their web addy is www.stemc.org in case your interested.

I am a graduate of St. Joe's School of Nursing. It's a tough program but well worth it. I highly recommend pre req's completion before starting nursing courses. Also, the hospital recently became a Magnet hospital and it is obvious why the retention rate is so high. The standards of care at St. Joe's are first rate. I am proud to be a St. Joe's grad and proud to work at SJHHC. Remember to take time for yourself while in school. Hang in there, the knowledge does become second nature. LuLu
