mount sinai hiring process...?

U.S.A. New York

Hi all! I had an interview at the mount sinai hospital at Dec 8th and got an email which said "We would like to make you an offer. We will need the references to move forward. such and such..." at Dec 11th. I've done reference last week and waiting for being checked. How long does it take from an interview to actually sign the contract? I can't feel relaxed until i officially sign the form...(I'm afraid whether they cancel job offer). Any ideas?

You get another chance if you don't pass the first time. It's more basic/general. Nothing too specific. You'll be fine. Just study the most common drugs used. Granted I didn't know everything that was on the test but I didn't find it to be that difficult.

Hi congrats on the new job, I have a phone screen/interview with mount Sinai hr was wondering if you had a phone interview and could share what I could expect to better prepare, would greatly appreciate it.

sorry for late reply,,, I failed nurse battery test...HR said i can retake 6 month later... I just hope they don't cancel job offer..lol

Hello hon, did they cancel your job offer? The HR lady called me and asked me to take the battered test so now I am scared to take and fail. did the cancel your job offer?

Hi! How is it going? Did you got the job? I'm wondering because I wanted to land a job in Mount Sinai. Recently passed NCLEX as BSN-RN.. No RN experience though.. How did you apply for the job? Did you walked-in? or left calls to Nurse recruiter? or submitted resume on their website posting? Can you please give me ideas and tips in how to get a job offer? thanks so much!!!

Hey, I am thinking about moving to NYC by the beginning of January and thought about applying here. I heard that the job market for nurses is pretty rough. I'm currently in an RN-BSN program and I should be finished by the end of the Summer of next year. I just wanted to know what made you stand out from other applicants and helped you get hired here.
