2018 Nursing Externships Winter/Summer

Hi everyone!,

I am currently a nursing BSN student going into my senior year next semester with a Dec. 2018 graduate date. I am eager to find information about nursing externships that are offered throughout all hospitals on long island (Northwell,CHS, private hospitals). I am open to any suggestions or information on any extern site!

Hello how are you I will be so happy to help you I am graduating in May 2018 and last summer between June and August 2017 I did the externship at RUMC in Staten Island New York. They offer it over the summer you have to apply on the hospitals website is if you are applying for any other job They will need your resume your BLS your transcript and two letters of recommendation probably one from a job and one from a clinical instructor The way it works is under a nurse educator youre allowed to do a lot of observation assessment and basic patient care Vital signs etc in the ED They make you work 24 hours a week which would be three 8 hour shifts and this externship is also paid which is kind of cool because a lot of them are not The pay is not amazing but the experience that you will have is priceless You will see things and learn about things that you did not see in clinical at school Look for the job opening I would say around March or April to apply
