hi i just got my eligibility from new york, first i applied to the BON of New york but i already took the child abuse and infection control courses online and attached my certificates along with my application and the other requiremnts, then applied to cgfns for my credentials to be reviewed after cgfns has reviewed my credentials they forwarded it to ny state ed dept it was exactly as they stated 8 weeks then the bon of ny sent my eligibility by mail ,english exam is not a requirement for ny to have an eligibility
whats with the child abuse and infection control course? is it a requirement in the application?

You can take it online and they wil send you your certificate after you pass the course. You don't need IELTS as far as I know because I never took it. Are you here as an immigrant?
Is it difficult? i mean the course... tnx for the reply...
No not at all. You can even go over the notes as you take the exam I think. It's almost like common sense.

Hi! I just want to clarify few things re: application process in NY. I graduated last April in the Philippines and do not have a local license. I also do not plan to take the PNLE since I am a dual citizen - US and PHL.
1. Child abuse and Infection courses - How long does these training courses take? I prefer online courses. Also, how much do they cost? Do we need to finish these courses before we apply to NY BON?
2. Is TOEFL exam or any English Proficiency Test required?
3. How long does the process take? Approximately after submitting the application forms.
4. I already have a CES process going on to a different state (NV) but plan to change it to NY. However, I've read that it's different for NY and it's CVS. What's the difference of CES and CVS? Can I forward my CES results to NY instead? Hmm...

1. If you check NY BON website you will see the approved schools that offer this online
2. check the BON website or even CGFNS website
3. Average CVS takes 6-8 months
4. CVS is because NY do their own assessment based on the documents CGFNS get. CES is CGFNS does the breakdown work instead of the BON
@Silverdragon102 For the online courses, should I need to complete them first before I can apply OR can I apply first then complete the online courses while waiting for the process to be done? Thanks
They can be done as far as I am aware whilst waiting for CVS to go through
