Tweety hope your next shift is less crazy

Had to work through lunch yesterday.  Both my myself and the person I was covering for got new cases.  A coworker who was supposed to help me cover the other person had a computer crash so I had to do all of her work myself.  And given the holidays it was difficult to find someone else to help out.  Was fairly tiring but made it through and things calmed down the last hour or so

After work was fairly busy, stopped at the grocery store, pet store, library, and candy shop.  Just relaxed the rest of the night

Today probably there will be no new cases, as tomorrow we're closed.  And on Friday the coworker returns.  Although another one will be out on Friday.  Will be quiet after work too, will exercise and relax with some wine.  Don't do the New Years thing anymore, especially with all of the crazy drivers

Will be slightly warmer today, in the low 30s.  Might get some more snow, had some last night

I also hate coding dementia patients. I did ask his wife if she wanted us to resuscitate him. I choose to believe he didn't have any awareness of the CPR and such. 

I scheduled a head-and-neck massage for myself as a Christmas present, and it is late this afternoon. After that, we'll stay home but the boys are all about having celebratory foods so they are planning all kinds of snacks for this evening. Maybe I will pick up a bottle of bubbly. Or maybe we'll just have ginger ale. I don't think any of us would care about the difference. 🙂We watched The Princess Bride the other day but otherwise didn't get around to our Rob Reiner film fest. Also, we haven't watched the new Knives Out movie. So we have movies to watch.

I should make a video here of Nannie doing her endless fussing and rearranging of her sleeves and the hem of her jerseys. I could make it one of those them-there STREAMING videos and y'all could experience some of my days! Wouldn't that be exciting? Never fear, I don't know how to do that with an unsmart flip phone, so you are safe!

I thought the Senior Center was closed today, but at some point during the morning hours my sleeping brain recognized the sound of the back door shutting heavily. It didn't exactly wake me up, but I was aware of it. So, I guess SiL came and did her thing and took Nannie away. Nice.

I do have a couple of errands I need to take care of; nothing big or major.  I ought to get on the warm gear and walk Tinker first.

My gosh, there is a lot of traffic out there, and parking lots and stores are crammed full of shoppers!  I only went to CVS for one item, and Food Lion for several more items, but the LINES!! I don't know when the stores are going to close, but everybody is acting like they think it is the end of the world coming, instead of the end of the year. I know that a few places are closing early, but this traffic mess is ridiculous. And in 40 minutes I have to leave to go pick up the Nannie-person. (no-w00t.)

I walked Tinker again when I got back and discovered an ankle-twisting hole under the leaves of our usual path, but fortunately I did not get hurt. I marked it by laying 2 large, fallen branches across it so I'd be sure to miss it next time!  X marks the spot!

I will be in bed reading when the New-Year's-Ball drops in NYC.  I can't picture any of you to be out partying hard until midnight or later, but nevertheless, be safe!

2025 was so rotten that I KNOW I will not make a mistake when writing the new date on anything!

Good evening.

It's 9pm and I hear fireworks.  Guess parents want to get their kids out of the way.  

I am in a rotten mood from work.  I best leave it at that.  So many things stressed me out today.  Least of which was a hospital to hospital transfer I was made aware of at 6:15 after our case manager's left and the ER case manager that is suppose to cover these things until 7:30pm had left early.  

I have to remember I put in an application for this job, had two interviews and wanted it.  LOL

Good night.  I will most likely be asleep before midnight.
