Happy New Year to all!
Joe, one of dh's favorite series is the James Bond movies, although we have noticed that when he watches one, he tends to fall asleep, LOL! Their effect on him is so noted, in case he can't get to sleep some nights! I hope the cat continues to hold her own.
It was a quiet NYE here. I dropped off some more cookies and pumpkin dip to ds, so I *need* to bake more today (I have dough in the fridge). I just paid the bills. Cats are all doing well, as is Little Dog (or dog-breath, as we call him).
Temps are predicted to be in the low 70's for the next few days, pretty mild and pretty 'normal' for this time of year. Nights in the mountains are in the 20's, so they are making snow at the ski resorts.
Have a good day!
Happy New Year and wishes of good health to all and every pet. ! I stayed up until MN because I was waiting for the kitchen sink to clean some things, which didn't happen. We glimpsed the Northern Lights, and there were lots of fireworks going on about our place.
Up early for a plunge in the lake, with an air temp of 36. Uff da . Thats Norwegian for OMG! We went out for a quick breakfast, and stop for last minute groceries, and it's almost time to start cooking. Snow in the forecast for tomorrow.
Happy New Year! (I sure hope it will be!)
Slept HARD until noon; after I got dressed and started out of my room to go down the stairs, there was Nannie who had come upstairs, she was holding on to the lumbar support pillow I always put in her recliner. She looked like a kid in those "Dr Denton" (?) footie-pj's. I asked her what she was doing, and she said she didn't know. Imagine that!
I took the pillow from her and she said, "THAT'S MINE!" Well, I know that because I am the one who purchased it for her; I just wanted her to have both hands free to hang on to the railing while going back down to the den. Got her to her recliner with the lumbar pillow in place, and gave her breakfast and meds first, to give me time to have a cup of coffee to help me wake up. Then I got her into the bathroom to wash up and get her dressed. Interestingly enough she STILL has had no BM after last night's numerous trips to the bathroom,,,,,9 times if I remember correctly, with NO results, even after a mini-enema. Like I said, her brain and body are losing their connection with each other. Amyloids glommed onto her brain are ahead by a long shot. Whew!
And nope, Nannie, we are not going out today, because it is New Years Day and....(then I lied to her:) "everything is closed for the Holiday and it is very, VERY cold outside.." Last night when fireworks were going off she could not understand why "they" were doing that, and explaining it was just a THING that happened on New Year's Eve and the 4th of July was a useless proposition, as I got a blank stare in response. When I said it was how a lot of people celebrated, she looked so disgusted.
NOW she is asleep and snoring! I like that a LOT!
Happy New Year!
Had to work so I went to bed at my usual time and didn't hear any neighborhood fireworks. I think the kids are growing up where they used to have them or I was just tired. Slowbro woke me up at 2:30AM when he jumped/fell out of bed.
Worked the floor today and for a long time had 3 patients. I was going to be able to go home after I discharged one but doc too to long to discharge him. I got an admission at 6:41 so didn't even get out on time. God forbid I leave on time. But it was a decent day for a change.
Working the floor tomorrow.
There were 6 patients on the floor at the end of the day yesterday and one nurse (and an aide) so I went in to help get through the med pass and came home around 10:30. Twin A got home shortly after so we had snack foods and a quick toast at midnight and went to bed. I've been in a stupor most of the day. We broke out more cheese and crackers and apples and popcorn.
Happy New Year!

Ado hope neither the cat or the catalytic converter prove too expensive
Tweety glad the roofers were able to do some additional work
Dianah so far so good, I keep monitoring input and out. Even during extended episodes of vomiting her labs and exams have remained normal
Work was fairly busy yesterday, with a new case. Ended up staying a little late to help a coworker. After work did the grocery shopping, got to Trader Joe's just before it closed early for the holiday. Stopped at the library too but it was already closed. Exercised and took it easy
Didn't stay up for the new year. Don't care for champagne so I made a French 75 cocktail instead, which uses champagne. Had some problems getting to sleep, not sure if it was the alcohol or the intermittent fireworks
Going out for a hike this morning, will make some oatmeal raisin cookies later. Planning to watch some movies as well, the musical Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly and possibly the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me as well. Also have to start planning all of the new things for the new year
Going to be colder today, only up to 30, although at least the rain/snow we were having yesterday has stopped
