Hey Everyone,
I just finished this program in May 2006. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED. I have 3 kids and I did it, passed boards, and I am a working RN now. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask me anything about teachers, classes, what you need to know??? Good luck to everyone and remember Fundamentals, he first class in conjunction with Pharmacology covers the most information and is in my opinion the most time consuming. Just go at it full force and don't let up.
gentle tos reminder:
while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:
- it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
- while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
- please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.
myra985,
I don't know if you found an online class yet, but I just finished a religion class from University of Phoenix online (REL 134 I think). It was over in 5 weeks. Lots of presentations and busy work crammed into that 5 weeks though. I did get a class substitution form filled out before sending in my application though. Then after I applied they still had that I was not currently in progress with the theology class so I had to fax the substitution form I had signed. The class was pricey for an online class I thought (I think about $2000).

OK nevermind, went ahead and 'decoded' those. for those interested:
english(2 semesters); algebra; a&P; intro to chem(3) or inorganic chem(3 hrs); intro to psych; a&p2(3 hrs); nutrition; micro; dev psych; intro to theology
One question though:
Did you need to submit your previous school's transcripts when you first applied to the college? Or does that come when you actually apply to the nursing program?
