I'd like to ask anybody who knows what state is easiest as to getting eligibility to take NCLEX? What is the first step that I should do, IELTS or NCLEX? Thank you in advance.

Thanks all again for ur response. Now, I have to think thoroughly where and what state will I choose to work.

Take in states that belong to vermont immigration service (whatever they call it) as it processes the visas faster.

check this out and see if your states that you consider belong here

for nurses they all go to Nebraska and then they decide whether to keep the file or transfer to Texas. You have no choice in the matter

Yep, before there were 4 processing centers that process I-140s accdg. to the geographical location of the employer/petitioner namely, CA, VT, Nebraska and Texas. VT back then was generally the fastest. Now, all I-140s are just processed by Nebraska or Texas and Texas is unanimously the fastest now but as Anna said you can't choose the center your file goes to and it is not anymore thru a center by geographical location. All petitions are filed in Nebraska now and they choose w/c files are transferred to Texas and w/c one stays w/ Nebraska and not even the immigration lawyers know the real basis for w/c one stays or gets transfered.

changed 12 months ago, had a big move around with the service centres, Texas definately moves a lot faster but as said previously you have no control on whether you go to Nebraska or Texas

Could u give your opinions on what states do u prefer and your reasons? It might help me in my decision. Thankz!

My experience is initially with an agency and was with NY BON failed NCLEX met husband and put US on hold so left agency. When we decided to go through the US process was lucky my NY file was still active (although new job was in AZ) so was able to sit NCLEX before CGFNS issued CES which is needed for AZ. Passed exam and endorced to AZ. Hospital appears to have a good programme for foreign trained nurses and helping them adapt to US nursing

Thanks silverdragon102 for sharing ur experience.

Anyone else can share experiences? Thank you.
