I just took my RN boards today and I am a wreck. I was stopped at 75 questions and immediately thought I passed. THen I started thinking about it more and realized that I may not have passed. I heard that by getting a lot of prioritizing questions means that you are doing well. I had some check all that apply, infection control, and quite a few prioritizing. Would you say this is a pretty good indication that I did or did not pass? After taking the test I had no clue whether I felt that I answered ANY of the questions right! Can anyone give me any advice?

I feel the same way you do, i also tested today i even went as far as trying to look up question but we cannot change our answers all we can do is wait it out and take a break b/c we cannot change anything besides it seems as though more people pass with 75 than fail so we have to stay positive....Keep me posted.

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I just need to chill and not think about it so much (cause we all know how easy that is to do..hehe) everyone says that I can't change it and if I failed...it's not a big deal I can take it over again and now I at least know where my weaknesses are! Good luck to you!

Specializes in NICU.

EVERYONE feels like they failed it. EVERYONE walks out of that test feeling unsure of themselves. And almost EVERYONE comes back here a couple of days later to say they passed, and I'm sure you will too.

Don't overanalize things and go over the questions you got on the test. Who cares? You will drive yourself nuts trying to figure it all out. Just relax and enjoy the fact that it's over. GO DO SOMETHING FUN!! :)

Specializes in private practice, corporate.

There's nothing like that awful feeling when the machine clicks off, and you had so much more in your brains that needed to escape!

If you can't remember any questions, that's a good sign.

Do not stress (easy for me to say) any more than you can actively clamp out of your thoughts at this time, and hang in there! It's awful for everybody, and I still remember how awful it felt until I heard the results, and it has been QUITE some time. You are in good company.

Best wishes!;)
