I am really stressing about all of this NCLEX studying. We didn't do Kaplan at our school we did ATI. And we had to pass the EOP ATI with an 89% or higher. I struggled so much with taking that exam and ended up taking it 5 times!!!! Of course every time I took it I would miss it by next to nothing but of course had to keep taking it. Thank GOD on the 5th try I finally got a 93% chance of passing NCLEX the first time. I felt like such a loser to have got that far and graduate and then had this happen to me. So just waiting for Pearson to send me the email for my ATT. Should hopefully be this week. But in the mean time, I know that there has been a lot of talk about the kaplan. I have so many different study elements and not sure how well I should be doing on these. I have Exam Cram, the davis book, I am signed up with NCSBN and have the NCLEX RN Q&A flashcards, and a friend of mine gave me her Saunders 5th ed. cd as well. I don't think it is necessary to have all of these study elements but I am not sure which ones to stick with? If anyone out there has any advice I would love to hear what you think.
Thank you.

I used Kaplan. I bought the Lacharity book but only did a few chapters (whenever I was sick of Kaplan). I passed the nclex with 75 questions. I will say that the key to my success was just doing ALL the Qbank questions from Kaplan (over 1000 questions), Trainers 1-7 and of course remediating and reading every single rationale. I would google stuff, make notes, and look in the kaplan book while remediating. Good Luck :)

I take my nclex rn in a little over a week. I am using ATI and Saunders. I also have been using the lacharity book. We used ati throughout our program and had to score 98% chance of passing in order to graduate.
I will let you know if I pass! Good luck and keep the faith!

I used Kaplan to prep for nclex. I studied for maybe two hours tops, mostly doing practice questions and reviewing answers. As much as I wanted to be able to sit and study for hours on end, sitting still for that long drove me crazy. I think the most important thing is to make sure to balance your studying with time to relax. I mean, how useful is all that knowledge if all you can think about when you get there is whether or not you'll pass?
If you've made it through nursing school and you have done well in clinicals, you are prepared to take and pass nclex. You have all of the information you need in your brain, so don't stress yourself out thinking you need to know everything! Practice questions are good to get you ready to answer test questions on the big day, but you also need to give yourself time to decompress.
Just stay positive and don't wonder whether or not you'll pass, tell yourself you *will* pass. You can do it!! Good luck!

When you say remediate, going back and read the content?
Thank you for all the advice. I am trying to keep positive and know that I am going to pass this NCLEX and be the RN I have always dreamed of being. I have made it this far RIGHT?? I will continue to just do questions and do well on them till the day of the exam.
So happy to have found this site and talk to those that are either in my shoes or have been there. Thank you!!
