Is anyone applying for this? It's the replacement for the SFSU/Sequoia program. At CSM instead of Canada. 1 year instead of 2. Must have a previous Bachelor's degree since it's an ABSN now. I don't see a thread for it yet...
Really want to apply, but afraid my science prereqs might be expired.
Just checked and still nothing under To Do. Hopefully, this means I have more time because my previous college doesn't do e-transcripts. They only mail official transcripts.
@MAC3 I feel you on wanting to get started on planning life (e.g. moving and in my case, quitting my job and planning vacation time before the intensity begins). There's only about 1-month until start date!
I was told we will know by EOW the orientation dates. If you were waitlisted too, the deadline to notify them you accept is today @ 1 pm PST. They're probably getting things sorted out. Hopefully we know orientation date(s) and other requirements + total costs of tuition / supplies / books / other fees soon.
@MAC3 I just got an email back from the dept of grad studies:
Hello Jessica,
Congratulations again! Thank you for contacting the Division of Graduate Studies, below I have listed the instructions on how to submit official transcripts to our office. These are not due until one week into your first semester of study, this is why your To-Do list is currently empty.
To provide us with an official transcript please make arrangements with your previous university to send it either by mail, or through an official e-mail service offered by that university. Usually the official transcript ordering service can be found on your previous university’s website under the Registrar’s office. Please submit the official transcript to one of the following:

hope this helps shed some light!
Well, that's a relief! I can definitely make that date. I'll take a breather and kick back until I get the letter. Every time I contact them they tell me to wait for it, so that's what I will do.
@AspringNurse_LB78 Gosh, yes. There is so much to accomplish in a short amount of time. I have an extensive list of projects I want to get done before I move north. Truly dreading finding an apartment. I used to live in the Bay Area and apartment hunting/traffic are definitely the worst parts.
I've been accepted, but if you are on the wait-list I wish you the best of luck!
@AspringNurse_LB78 No idea, but there were 39 recipients on the orientation email. I'll ask at orientation.
Hello all,
Anyone have any information about financial aid? I contacted the SFSU financial aid office and they told me to fill out the 2018-2019 FAFSA form. I was quoted a Stafford loan that is about half of tuition cost. What else is everyone doing to pay for school? Any other subsidized government loans people know about? Grants? Scholarships? Let's hear em!
@ERtech-Nurse: unfortunately the max amount you can borrow is $12,500 per year. Also, there is a $57,500 max amount you can borrow for your bachelor degrees in your lifetime. As in if you already took a loan out for Bachelors Degree #1, you'll need to deduct the amount you borrowed for degree #1 from $57,500 to determine the amount you have left and are eligible for.
Sadly, the costs of US education are exorbitant & this is how FAFSA works. Hopefully we'll get good paying jobs once we graduate!
My friends at SMU took out private loans from banks. Make sure to read the fine print though! You want a fixed interest rate at hopefully less than, or equal to 5 or 6% if possible.

@KristinaK i think they are probably super busy. It's also the end of the semester so finals are coming up. @MAC3 my status says post-bacc too, I think that's normal.
My transcript "to-do" barely came up this morning and today is the due date. I would keep checking back. They said to email e-transcripts to [email protected], and the link for their address is here: https://grad.sfsu.edu/content/official-transcript-requirement
