New SFSU/CSM ABSN Spring 2019

Is anyone applying for this? It's the replacement for the SFSU/Sequoia program. At CSM instead of Canada. 1 year instead of 2. Must have a previous Bachelor's degree since it's an ABSN now. I don't see a thread for it yet...

Really want to apply, but afraid my science prereqs might be expired.

Im sorry to hear your app was rejected but this is just the beginning of the road, don't give up!

My stats:

145 hrs volunteer work at Highland hospital

Worked as a chiropractic rehab assistant for 4 years

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

Letter of recommendation

No second language

Prior degree in Anthropology

@thatnewnew & @sophie123456 any word on orientation? I logged into MySFSU online and don't see any communication there either.

@reb24 I'm sorry to hear - I've been rejected for UWs ABSN. ABSNs are highly competitive. Keep trying - don't give up! My stats are posted on page 4 of this forum.

@AspringNurse_LB78 I haven't heard anything. I wanted to check with you guys before I responded to the email. I will follow up Monday and let them know that none of us have heard anything about orientation.

While we're waiting to hear back about our next steps, where will everyone be commuting to San Mateo from? For me it's Oakland! Hoping to move closer though in a couple months.

Hi!

I've been following this feed for a while but this is my first time posting. I have been accepted (heard back Monday the 22nd) but also have yet to hear from the division of graduate studies or about orientation dates. After calling and emailing, the message I got was to remain patient and that all of those should be emailed by the end of the week. Still a bit concerning though. I will be commuting from Marin/might end up getting a place closer to campus!

@sophie123456: Yep, sent mine out yesterday. I was told by the nursing department to send official transcripts to SF Grad Studies.

I just electronically submitted mine. Today was my due date so I think electronic was my only option.

I was on the waitlist and haven't received any information from SFSU yet.

I went to Student Center, then looked at my "To Do" list. They all popped up this morning, I have been checking the to do list every day since they sent me an email telling me that i was conditionally accepted.

Hello!

I was accepted to the summer start program on 4/22 and sent in my reply same day. I haven't heard or seen anything from SFSU since that email.

@thatnewnew I just logged into my SFSU account and it didn't have anything under the due date. I just sent in my transcripts, so I feel like there should have been something there. My account still lists this post-bacc in My Applications too. Makes me a little nervous. I hope it switches over when the school gets my transcripts.

I currently live in Southern California, and I'm planing to move to San Mateo late May/early June. Seems like there is a couple people here thinking of moving closer to school. Potential for roommates?

Hey, does anyone know if we have to get a health check/titers before school starts June 10th? I emailed the nursing school, but they never answered me. I called them today, and they told me to email them. ??‍♀️

@MAC3 it makes me feel better that there are people out there who still haven't heard from SFSU. Hopefully we will soon I'm getting so impatient.
