I have several tattoos that I obtained before becoming a medical worker years ago . I recently graduated school and passed nclex, got a job and will start in 2 wks as a new RN. I wore long sleeves in clinicals , but its hot and i have a chest piece that sticls up a little. Does anyone have experience with Stage or theater makeup or any make up that will work thats water/sweat proof? Any Positive tips would help. Thank you.

Maybe you can watch Youtube videos on this. Girls on there do makeup tutorials maybe someone has one about how to cover up a tattoo. FWI, when I had surgery the nurse had a small tattoo behind her ear which she did not cover up. (She even wore her hair up when wearing it down would have covered the tattoo). Good luck.

I worked in a Veterinary ER that had a strict no tattoo showing policy. Most of the employees that had tattoos on their arms or wrists used Vet Wrap to cover them. It is made by 3M and it comes in a variety of colors. It is stretchy, sticks to itself but not to hair, allows skin to breathe but does not absorb any moisture. Also because it sticks to itself, you can take it off and reapply it.

Using Vet Wrap allowed comfortable movement, easy hand washing and none of the painful ripping of the little hairs on your arms.
