  1. I graduated with a ADN at Sanford Brown. So I am one of the people who were ''dumb enough'' to fall for that. Yes sbi lied to me. yes I think I had shotty education. I paid 48,000$ for it. But I graudated and passed the NCLEX the 1st time. They are raking out the nurses by the bus load. But I think if you prove yourself in your abilties as a nurse so what you didnt go to CC or UNF or whatever. Im an RN no matter how I got it. last time I checked the MD you might work probably graduated with a C which is passing so the top of the class MD -graduated, bottom of the class MD - graduated. All the same.
  2. Why 20,000? I live in northeast FL, every hosp that isnt a internship program is only a 7 wk orientation.
  3. Hi, I need a good flow sheet, pt sheet ,whatever you wanna call it. Im new,Im worried. please send it to [email protected]. Thanks
  4. well, Ive heard of several on here. I gues because im not really sure what u can and cant not do as a nurse (losing license) thats has me worried, throughout school I never imagined losing a license or getting fired. I guess i should look on FLs board of nursing to find out what would constitute in a suspension or losinf license other than drugs.
  5. Im in the same boat, infact I just made a post about it. what did they get fired for?
  6. I was just wondering, thank you for all the comments. It makes me feel a lil better. I'm just extremely nervous and I do not know what to expect. This is a totally new profession for me. And I completely understand people come on here to vent. Just needed encouragement I guess.
  7. I am a new RN , I start monday with a & week orientation. I graduated in sept 0f 11, i took boards dec29 th, licensed Jan4. started looking for work mid feb. I am also new to this weebsite but I keep reading how alot of new nurses are getting fired after orientation or getting suspended bc of various reasons mostly making mistakes and not being able to "keep up". My question is how many new Rns actually make it after orientation as opposed to the ones who fail. Do you think the number is higher in RNs "making it". I guess im just terrified to start. btw im starting Med/surg Day shift. which from what I read on here is pretty tough.
  8. Amen. God is good.
  9. could you send it to me? [email protected]
  10. I only have one arm 1/4 . so I only would want to cover the 1/4 and like the top 1/2 inch of my chest to neck. im just sick of wearing long sleeves. The Hr lady told me yesturday that the hosp is a ''stickler'' for covering tattoos. my tats are not offensive at all but that doesnt matter. I have googled what kind of makeup , but I was just looking for nurses with real exp in using the makeup not paid testimonies from companies.
  11. I would need three to four watch bands to cover it. So im stuck with long sleeves I guess.my hr told me that a girl haf a spiderweb from her ear down her neck to chest and she used threatical makeup bc its sweat/water proof and you couldnt tell. I guess ill use dermablend and try that.
  12. I have quarter sleeves on my wrist up to mid arm before elbow. The star on my chest comes up to neck so shirts unless turtle neck dont hid the chest piece. I want to cover wrist too
  13. I have several tattoos that I obtained before becoming a medical worker years ago . I recently graduated school and passed nclex, got a job and will start in 2 wks as a new RN. I wore long sleeves in clinicals , but its hot and i have a chest piece that sticls up a little. Does anyone have experience with Stage or theater makeup or any make up that will work thats water/sweat proof? Any Positive tips would help. Thank you.
  14. oh geez, Im a new RN and I start day shift Med/Surg in 2 wks. Im really nervous now.
