thanks, and I do apologise for posting a totally random thread but if I didn't tell someone about my placement I think I would have burst. :)
I have been on a surgery placement before but neuro still sounds daunting, and trying to understand/decipher my books is like wading through porridge.
My placement has been dropped, the ward will not take another student.
Which the uni should have known so now I have to wait and see where I get a placement, so no time for a pre visit or much prep reading, and if they don't sort it before next monday , when we are due to go on shifts then the extra hours will have to be made up, and the next available time for that is christmas, right before an exam:(
I am so pi$$ed off it is unbelievable, because they messed my last placement up as well. I can understand the ward saying no, but they uni should have known not to try and send me there.
So right now I am a student with my shinny new second year/ branch uniform, and no where to go!!!
Sorry for venting. But I am so mad I could spit feathers.
I have just ot my new placement, But there is not time for me to have a pre placement visit, so I'll just have to turn up on Monday morning and hope that all goes well!
The new ward has taken me on as an extra student as well, so I may not have a constant mentor, but I am just so relived to have a placement that at this moment I dont care.
It is a private placement, which I think is a surgical ward... ( the last time I thought I was going to a private placement it got cancelled, after I spent weeks worrying about caps!!!) But this time, I am hoping and praying that I manage to get to this placement.

Well I just found out my new placement, which I start on the 30th, Neuro Surgery.
It sounds interesting and very daunting, especially as we haven't done much about the neuro in A&P yet, oh well.. guess what i am doing this weekend???
Just wanted to let you know.
