Just got word that I have been selected for the Navy Nurse Candidate Program! Super excited! I would love to get in contact with others. I graduate in May of 2012. Anyone else out there?

@littleluvbugnavy - congrats! I am just now applying so hopefully will join you all. Did you just find out from the Oct boards or was there another one more recently? How was the whole process?
There was a board last week on Wednesday. It was a long process, but I'm so excited! I began everything in September, went to MEPS in December and then submitted my full packet in January. Let me know if you have any questions, when do you graduate?
Awesome - good to see that you hear things quickly (once boards happen)! I'm doing an ABSN program and I haven't started it yet. I have an acceptance to a program, but I am waiting to see if I have some other options. Right now my first choice would have me finish 12/12, but maybe as late as 5/13. How was MEPS? I'm totally envious, I would love to be where you are right now!

Me too! I graduate in the summer of 2012 and I just found out I've been selected. All I have left to do is go to my physical at MEPS. I did things a little out of order haha.

Hi. This is my first post. I have been reading posts for a while now. I just received word today that I was accepted into the NCP. I dont have any particular info. Final paperwork should be here next week. What should I expect in the next week?
I was selected at last months boards and have yet to sign paperwork. They said they are phasing us new NCP'ers in slowly. Congrats, when do you graduate?
may 2012. My recuiter said final paperwork should be next week. Have you been sworn in yet?
Nope, haven't sworn in yet. They told me my paperwork would be "next week" 4 weeks ago! What state recruiter did you use? Let me know if your process is different and I will keep you posted on mine, and congrats again! I know it's such a relief to get the yes back!
In the midwest. The process has been very quick. I started late December early January. I was able to get mey paperwork in quickly, and my recruiter has been very organized. He has always been available to me whenever I needed. Congrats to you too. Maybe we will be in ODS together. I will keep you updated as well.
Just found out I was final selected as first alternate. So it's a no go unless someone declines which I highly doubt, but you never know. Not what I wanted to hear but anythig could happen. Just have to wait and see if someone changes their mind.
