Hello guys! I just got placed on monitoring this past month.
For those who have been on monitoring for awhile or who have completed, I heard the board pulls your tax records and W2 to make sure you are at the employer you told them you are working at. Is this true? also to make sure you do not have any other PRN jobs as PRN jobs are not included in the agreement.

I have no idea what state you're in, but I have never heard of such a thing before. I almost feel like that would also be illegal for them to do tbh. I feel like your worksite monitor would be enough proof of where you actually work?
I guess I asked because some nurse tried to hide her PRN jobs and the board pulled her W2 and tax returns and she got revoked for 5 years. Not sure what state that was in but I am in AZ.

I can believe it. I always think "this is the attorney general's office". I assume that they have access to all government records. Our program allows for per diem jobs, but you cannot have more than one job at a time.

I feel like CA does this or something very similar. My monitor didn't tell me they do this specifically, but he did tell me that he will know if I'm working for a job that isn't approved.
Wonder if that's more of a scare tactic as you do need to sign for authorization for anyone to pull your tax info.

I wouldn't chance it. My plan has been to follow everything I'm told to do and finish this misery and get my life back ASAP. The monitoring agreement is long enough.

I'm new to this but I've read almost everything on here & haven't heard anything about W-2's. I'm sure it's possible though.

If you are under the Boards radar and in a monitoring agreement, then any PRN organization will know this when looking at your RN license and credentialing you.
