Hello, I was just wanting some opinions from people who are in an ARNP program to help me out. I just gave birth to my son a month ago and I found out I got accepted into a spring program for family nurse practitioner. I'm debating whether to accept or not just because I feel frazzled as it is being a new mom let alone to add school on top. I know people juggle school and motherhood all the time and I'm trying not to make excuses. I just want some insight from people about how difficult the program is. Thank you.

If you're feeling frazzled, why push it? What difference will taking a year off make? In the grand scheme of things, it's not that much time. Enjoy some undivided attention with your little one. School will always be there when you're 100% ready.

I am personally in my MSN program and pregnant. I will take some time to heal up and be jumping right back into classes once the baby is born. I'm also working full time at the moment. I say to each their own. Only you know what you can handle. You will never be 100% ready. Something will always come up. Decide what you can handle and move on. My parents always tell me that time is going to pass by anyway. You might as well be accomplishing something while it does

Ask them if you can defer for a year. That's an option to explore too.
