New Mexico license requirements

hi i am new here...i am RN here in philippines..i recently passed the dec 2010 pnle exam..i really want to take the nclex and i chose New Mexico state but the problem is I don't really understand the requirements :(..

do i need to take ielts first before i can take the nclex???because it was written there that there should be a proof of english competency...... and where should i can get SSN#??:( plss help thanks

You can not get a US SSN until in the US with a valid work/immigrant visa

1. i passed the philippine nursing licensure exam which is given in english so i don't need to take toefl or ielts???pls reply thanks :)

You have to take the IELTS before New Mex can allow you to sit for the NCLEX. Another thing is you have to go through an accredited credentialing agency first like CGFNS for the assessment of your papers.

Oh no :( so it means it is really impossible for me to take the nclex??? because i need to take first the ielts and cgfns :(do i really have to take also cgfns before i can take the nclex??am i right??

because actually i have started reviewing in review center this day here in philippines.. i already paid the down payment for the review without thinking that the requirements is very difficult:( do you have any advice for me regarding my situations??thanks

Yes, you need the CES first and you need to sit for IELTS. During my time, there's no CES and IELTS requirements, I guess you check with other states because New Mexico is costly for NCLEX application not unless you really want to be licensed there. Best of luck to you.

Take the time to read the NM website it tells you what you need to do

CGFNS offer a lot more than the CGFNS website. If your report shows that all your nursing education was in English then the exam may be waivered. Suggest you read the last page of this link http://www.bon.state.nm.us/forms/Examination%20Application%20April%202010.pdf

Not referring to CGFNS exam but CES, one of the many services the CGFNS is offering. Do some research and study the NM BON website as suggested by Silverdragon.
