New LPN student - GA

Published

Hi Everyone!!!

I've received my acceptance letter for the LPN program-Yay! I am really excited to start classes in Jan 2015. I am a wife and mother of two. I've been hearing how intense this program can may decide not to work. Even with not working, I am still a FT wife and mother. Any advice from LPN's just recent graduates or who are currently in the program, on how to balance family and school? Ways of studying that worked for you? Other tactics. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is all new to me. I am currently in the medical field as a Dialysis Technician and CPR instructor. I have another month or so before starting. Any advice on what i should do before classes start?

Thanks in advance! God Bless.

Hi, and welcome to AN! :)

My first bit of advice would be to take a look at the top of this page, at the yellow banner with various headings on it. You posted this message on a forum dedicated to those who are studying for the NCLEX; at this point I'd say that is premature ;)

Looking under "Students", you can choose forums for general discussion, LPN-specific, nursing student assistance, etc. Take a look around and see what appeals.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot. Had no idea. Thanks for the tip! Prayers for your NCLEX!

You're welcome.....appreciate the support, but....NCLEX is thankfully becoming a distant memory for me :)
