New LPN with Many Blessings!

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Long story short, I took the NCLEX-PN on June 17th, got my quick results that I passed on June 19th, and my license number was up on SC LLR by 7:30AM on July 7th. Well today (July 9th), I decided to go visit a few places to find a job. With resume and other important info on hand, I started out at 10AM. I had a list of 27 places to visit. I went to the first place and they didn't hire LPNs. Went to the second place, and their story was the same as the first. Got to the third place and was hired on the spot! I begin July 20! And guess what!? Despite what everyone told me, I DIDN'T get stuck with the night shift position!

Congrsts! Everything has worked so fast for you. Very happy to hear! When walking into the facilities I'm guessing you presented a resume? If so, did you put together your own resume?

Nursing Is a new field for me and I have no medical experience. I was looking into hiring someone to compose my resume because I'm not sure where to start.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats! I am moving to Florida soon and have been discouraged by the "no one hires LPNs" talk. I am just starting my hunt and hope I am so lucky!

Hello

Welcome to Florida! Yeah that talk is always around! I'm quite aware they don't hire LPN in many hospitals but there are many other options.

Hope your stay is welcoming!

That's awesome! I am in nursing school for the LPN program and I know GOD will bless me as he is always good to me. Good luck! and congrats!

That is awesome congratulations.... I am striving for the same testimony once I take my boards at the end of August.. Blessings to you

Congratulation! I just graduated LPN school on the 30th of July. I am now looking forward to /dreading(I'll be freaking out until i get the results) taking my boards. It's awesome that you were able to find a job so quickly. it sounded like you were on a mission with 27 places to go to. Glad it all worked out for you. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Hello ASPIRING2BGREAT!

I apologize for the late reply! But, actually, she didn't even want my résumé! I was actually shocked. I had spent hours and days making sure my résumé was "perfect" and when I told her I had a copy she told me don't worry about it. Weird but I did end up filling out paperwork which asked similar questions to what was on my résumé, like college, references, license number, and my personal info.

And thanks to all you lovely nurses for the congratulations! They are greatly appreciated! í ½í¸Ší ½í¸Ší ½í¸Š

That's awesome! I've completed mines and am ready to start applying. When you can let us know how it is going on the floor?

Thank you!

Congrats on your success thus far. I hope you have found a decent employer who will take the time to train you correctly.
