New LPN inTampa

U.S.A. Florida

Published

HI I am a recent LPN grad I've been working in a nursing home for the past 3 months my husband recently got out of the military and is looking to relocate to Florida. Are there any jobs in Tampa for new LPN grads if so how much is the pay? Where should I begin to look. I would really like to work on the med-surg floor or in the ER. Please any help would be great.

Most of the hospitals in Tampa Bay don't hire LPNs. Your only real hope is a nursing home, even they are being picky in who they are hiring. Most are requiring a year of experience. Its very difficult for new grads whether LPN or RN to find jobs in this area. In fact, unemployment is very high in Tampa Bay and its not expected to get much better any time soon. Hope your husband has a concrete job offer before you really consider moving here.

]Hello, I know that LPNs are hard to get into hospitals here in Tampa. I work at a SNF right now, I moved recently to Tampa too. I have 4 years experience and its hard for me to find a job in the hospitals here. You can apply at Rehab and health Center of Tampa off of Habana (across from SJH). That place hires new LPNs and they have 12 hour shifts if you are interested. Mostly though, you are going to be looking at Nursing homes... sorry )o= .. there are a lot of places to go here in Tampa though.

Wrong. Town and Country Hospital hires LPN's and the pay is good, esp. if you work pool and weekends
