Does anybody attend the accelerated BSN program in NJCU? If so what is the cost of the program? How competative is it to get in? Will they accept you if your overall GPA is lower than a 3.0 but you have a very high GPA in your prerequisites? Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yea, I'm with you guys too. I have good experience as an EMT of 3 1/2 years, working at my fathers office ( he is a family physician) and volunteering at the hospital for 6 years. my undergrad GPA is not that great, being a bio major was crazy hard, but the prerequisites are all A's and B+'s...on the HESI i achieved an overall score of an 85...i am so incredibly nervous .. we are all in the same boat! lol

it sux, i got over an 85 on all of the sciences, and in math i got a 90, but this damn grammar i got like a 78 lol

so we should know by next week??? I don't know if to be excited or to freak out...

and over 300 apps? wow...I think Im choosing freaking out now lol....

what other schools is everyone else applying to?

Well I was accepted to LIU (Long Island University) for thier 2 year program, so if I don't get in then I'm going there.... I went to college in NY so i don't mind going back to school there

so njcu is your number one? are those the only two schools you applied to?

Yes its my number one... I applied to stony brook as well (SUNY) but was wait-listed. Because I already have a college degree I don't want to wait yet another year to apply to NJCU since it would turn out to be the same to go to a 2 year program if I don't get in...... interestingly enough, when I first called to ask about the program I was told that if I had the option to go to either a 1 or 2 year school I should probably go to the 2 year bc i'd have more time to learn and retain the material being taught.... I still am going for NJCU though so we'll see next week.

wait njcu told you if you had the option to go to a 2yr school?

I hope we all sit as classmates come june!!! next week can't come soon enough!

They did, but only because I'd have more time to process the info.... we all know doing a 1year program will be memorization and cramming, so I guess they were just being neutral and honest. Good luck to everyone and I hope we all find out next week!!!

true...my number ones are UMDNJ or NJCU....so let's see! good luck!

I got into Bayonne and St Francis SON, but they are both two years schools, NJCU is my first choice thou. If I have to pick between st francis and bayonne I have no clue which one would be better lol

my number one is NJCU but im also applying to UMDNJ but im not gonna send in that application till i hear back from here since its not due till Aug 1. I am soo nervous this is all i can think about...

I wanted to apply to UMDNJ, but when I spoke to them I was told if I didn't have a 3.0 in undergrad (regardless of my pre-reqs or grades after graduating) I wouldn't even be looked at....... sucks so I really hope I get into NJCU, otherwise it'll be 2 years for me..... on the bright side though if I do the 2 years I'll have the summer inbetween of to work somewhere as an extern and hopefully make connections... I don't know I just hope these decisons are nalied out next week.... I also forgot I appleid to and got in, but its way to expensive for me to go.....
