Does anybody attend the Accelerated BSN program in NJCU? If so what is the cost of the program? How competative is it to get in? Will they accept you if your overall GPA is lower than a 3.0 but you have a very high GPA in your prerequisites? Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yes its my number one... I applied to stony brook as well (SUNY) but was wait-listed. Because I already have a college degree I don't want to wait yet another year to apply to NJCU since it would turn out to be the same to go to a 2 year program if I don't get in...... interestingly enough, when I first called to ask about the program I was told that if I had the option to go to either a 1 or 2 year school I should probably go to the 2 year bc i'd have more time to learn and retain the material being taught.... I still am going for NJCU though so we'll see next week.
I wanted to apply to UMDNJ, but when I spoke to them I was told if I didn't have a 3.0 in undergrad (regardless of my pre-reqs or grades after graduating) I wouldn't even be looked at....... sucks so I really hope I get into NJCU, otherwise it'll be 2 years for me..... on the bright side though if I do the 2 years I'll have the summer inbetween of to work somewhere as an extern and hopefully make connections... I don't know I just hope these decisons are nalied out next week.... I also forgot I appleid to Drexel and got in, but its way to expensive for me to go.....

Yea, I'm with you guys too. I have good experience as an EMT of 3 1/2 years, working at my fathers office ( he is a family physician) and volunteering at the hospital for 6 years. my undergrad GPA is not that great, being a bio major was crazy hard, but the prerequisites are all A's and B+'s...on the HESI i achieved an overall score of an 85...i am so incredibly nervous .. we are all in the same boat! lol
