Hi all!
I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

Semester 1: In-School Lab & Geriatrics (Nursing Home)
Semester 2: Adult Health I (Medical-Surgical) & Pediatrics/Obstetrics and Maternity (Split For One Half Of The Semester)
Semester 3: Adult Health II (Medical-Surgical) & Psychiatry/Community Health (Also Split)
Right now, I HIGHLY SUGGEST that everyone reviews Anatomy & Physiology before you start. It is essential to learning assessment, fundamentals, pharmacology, and understanding pathophysiology.
Thanks @Jyosei
@Jyosei I meant to ask you earlier...around what time do classes start in the morning for the most part? I’m assuming 8 or 9?
I'm currently trying to figure out my commuting situation. I’m not very far from jersey city...but with the traffic (bc JC is forever under construction), I’m easily looking at 1.5 hours to get there. So that would be 3 hours of traveling everyday which I refuse to do...
Even with public transportation it’s still 1+ for me each way.

They usually start at 8 or 9. Clinicals start typically at 7 or 6:45. I have a few classmates who are commuting from Brooklyn. They somehow manage, although I'm sure the commute is super long too.
Today has been a bit of a whirlwind, but I'm happy to say I have a spot too! I am going to send my check out via fedex tomorrow because I can't run out of work any earlier to make it to the campus to physically hand it to someone. Still going to go walk around tomorrow afternoon just to get a feel for the campus. I am very excited to meet everyone! I have some material saved on my computer and just tutored a friend through A&P 1 so I just need to brush up over the summer.
Oddly so happy we have jackets included in our uniforms. I have tattoos on my arms and have become used to wearing compression sleeves to cover them, so at least with a coat it doesn't make me stand out like a sore thumb lol.
Anyone else get their acceptance letter and was over the moon and instantly terrified....or just me? haha
Hi everyone!
Found out this morning that I was accepted into the program and I couldn’t be happier since this was my top choice. Just found this page, I’m glad we could all be in this together! Congratulations to everyone who got in, and those who didn’t, don’t get discouraged you guys could do it, keep applying! I think I’ll be sending my deposit by certified mail just tomorrow just to make sure it gets there, and I’ll definitely head over one of these days to tour the campus. A FB group sounds like a great idea, I’ll try and find the page. This is so exciting, I’m still happily in shock and super anxious! ?

The group doesn’t exist yet because I need to add at least one person in order to make it
