New and innovative FNP jobs?

Published

Hi Guys,

Those that are NPs.... anyone really enjoy their work schedule, atmosphere and really feel like they are making a difference with less charting and medical codes to put in.

I really want to pursue Mission Trips and have a flexible work schedule and not stress about the NP position itself.

I hope to do more preventative medicine and see people really change their bad habits.

Feels like I am all over the place. But I love just about everything. I need a change and want to hear from all of you and what makes you work as an NP. I just do not want to be in it for the money. I love teaching and educating people also.

Those that are in legalized medical marijuana states, what is the next best career for that? Any cool conferences you attended?

Just wondered if there are fun job opportunities for FNPs specifically. Any new and cool fields of work to go into. Anything that really works with a family and kids?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks so much!

I am interested in pre-hospital care for APRNs which they have in LA.

Personally would love to see that!

Lets see what other non-traditional APRN jobs we can come up with...

Specializes in Student.

My plan is to go into wound care - OP clinic and Debride wounds all day!

I work in wound care currently, and plan to stay there.

Specializes in Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Nursing.

I believe weight loss is a huge field. Having a niche, boutique, cash only weight loss (perhaps concierge) practice would be a highly profitable business, in my opinion.
