SNHU Online RN to BSN Program

U.S.A. New Hampshire

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if any of you have heard of/done Southern New Hampshire University's online RN-BSN program? I start July 13th, I'll be working 36 hours a week as a new grad RN at the same time. How did/do you like their program? Everyone has been friendly so far and the program is affordable. Thank you!

Good luck with stats bebepickle .

I am taking that class in sept. I hope its not as bad as it sounds..

I had a nurse at one of the hospitals I worked at tell me stats at SNHU isn't bad, she said she isn't a math person either. We will both be taking stats in September though so I hope she is right!

How was the enrollment process? I considered SNHU for a while, but their very aggressive recruiter turned me off. I may consider them again.

I'm sorry to hear that! They were excellent with me. I didn't feel rushed or pushed into anything. I had an admissions person talk to me on the phone and I applied with her. When I got accepted I got an email and a call from my academic advisor. She went over everything with me (how blackboard works, how to register, view bills, etc.). Overall I think it'll be a good experience. I have heard great things about the program and everyone there has been nothing but helpful. Good luck!

I was accepted into their program in July 2014, before they were accredited and was told all of my classes transferred. Then I got an ail saying that I had to repeat 4 general education courses before I could even start the nursing program.

Low and behold, I looked into other schools and found one that I didn't have to repeat any, and I would graduate faster too...and it is a very reputable school too! I say look alike your options and figure out if it is worth repeating/taking their gen-ed courses again!

Just ordered my books. Looks like I will be taking Scholarly Inquiry first, then stats and nurs 305 in fall. Best of luck to all starting next week. Should be interesting!

Good Luck with your class bebepickle! we will all be busy in just a few days... I was on blackboard looking at the syllabus and expectations for class and it is a lot!! :nailbiting:

Any updates on how you're all liking the program, now that you're a little further into it?

I like the program so far. The teachers are available when you need them and the courses are organized within blackboard. Your grades are posted quickly and they give good feedback. I am currently in statistics which is hard and confusing but my introto ccritical thinking class was great. I definitely recommend SNHU.

I ended up starting there this term. I'm taking Scholarly Inquiry and Info Management & Patient Care. I'm really enjoying it so far!

I really enjoy SNHU's program. The classes are set up very well on blackboard and the teachers are very helpful. I would recommend this program. It's great too because it's 100% online!

I am taking diversity next term. I am just finishing up eng comp 2 and it really is a boring drawn out class. I take scholarly inquiry in April. I hope I like the nursing courses...

Froggybelly - how was it taking two nursing courses in one term? Were they both similar in workload?
