New Graduate Residency Programs

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to see if others had applied to either the Childrens or UCH (or both) new graduate residency programs. If so, it would be great to keep eachother updated on status and interviews!

Thanks! Do you recommend waiting until you take the NCLEX to apply to anything else, or is it okay to apply to things other than new grad residency programs before taking it?

So, just to clarify I'm a new graduate as well. So what I have been doing is looking at all of the job posts on my school portal and I am applying to everything that doesn't require me to have the license right now. So my recommendation is that if they don't require the license to apply then apply. I'm also really focusing on the NCLEX since that will be a show stopper if I don't pass that. Good luck to you!

Yea, I would apply to all the residency programs available. Denver Health also have new grad positions. When does everybody plan to take the NCLEX? I am planning to take it in mid-Jan, so if anyone wants to form a study group, please let me know.

I just got an interview for children's on the surgical floor! which is where I did my senior practicum. Fingers crossed

They called me. I was given one day and one time slot to interview. I didn't get to choose and its an hour and 40 min interview. From previous new grads, I heard they take you picture. Just a heads up.

Hey all, I applied for the new grad residency at UCH Colorado Springs. Start date Feb 2016. Haven't heard anything back yet....anyone else applying there or heard anything?
