New Graduate LVN Seeking Employment

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I graduated in May 2013 took and passed my NCLEX the first in June 2013, I graduated from an NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. . College. I know it is kind of too soon to feel antsy, but I have been to about 5 interviews, no call backs nothing, I am beginning to wonder what I am doing wrong. I see positions advertised at different clinics and some of my colleagues have been offered employment at the same clinics that I also applied to, and yet I have not been called back. I am feeling frustrated by being side lined. I live in Austin Texas...!! Thank you all for lending me an ear. Also if any recruiters see this post, please contact me..to hire me. I am a mature, dedicated, loving, compassionate, hard worker. I never missed a day of schools for all the three years I was in college. I am always punctual, quick leaner and very professional. Oh...I make friends easily too....because I just love people. Great team player...who is into healthy living and healthy eating

Thank you everyone for our kind comments, suggestion, advice, not forgetting constructive criticism. I ended up with two job offers, the first interview was about 45 miles away from my home. I had two interviews on the same morning...i.e pre intv...then followup intv.I was so thrilled and was praying to be hired by this company, as it really sounded like something I was looking for. So they said we will be in touch. Well, the impatient me...could not sit still, so I decided to just email my résumé to this other company that my instructor had suggested would be a good fit for me after graduation, she said she thought I would do a great job there because of my personality, clinical skills..etc. after emailing my résumé, I decided to just stop in and find out if they were hiring, Ofcourse the receptionist said NO. Well as I was sitting in my car in their parking lot, I get an email..(thanks to technology) from their HR department Asking me when I would be available for a phone interview...I was really confused, but did not ask any questions and said right now...so to cut a long story short, they made an offer and I accepted....

this really is a story about faith, as I had forgotten the seed that was planted by my instructor during my training....this is really a calling.

So 10 days after the first interview with the other company I get a verbal offer from them....sadly I had to decline.... God is so faithful.

I wish I could erase my initial post, but then again I would not have learnt some of the things that were brought back to my attention by so many of you. I like the comradarie and the feeling of being family on this site.
