New grad starting night shift

Hi guys!! I'm just starting my career as a new RN, and I got hired on night shift. I was wondering what you're guys sleep schedules were like?! I will be working 7p-7a

thanks!!

Before my first night I have a nap around 2-3pm before my shift starts.

If I'm working 3 in a row I sleep all day after the first 2 shifts; exercise then head to work.

After my last shift I set my alarm for 12-1pm so I can adjust back to normal sleep time that night.

Hope you enjoy your job!

I work 730p-8a and have a 45 min drive one way to work. I always stay up the night before I go back to nights but for the most part I sleep same schedule. If I do not, I will sleep a second shift sleep pattern. I am a night owl so I don't have any problems working nights.

Thank you!!! I think naps will be the key!

I work 7p-7a and I go home after work, sleep until 1p or 2p usually, wake up and do stuff around house and all until work again. On days I have off I usually go to bed around 2am just to get some more sleep in but not completely shift back to a day schedule. Good luck!
