New Grad Salary

I am graduating in April and am curious about what the average pay is for a new grad right now. I heard someone say at a local hospital it was 20/hr for days which to me is quite low. I don't expect to start out making a lot and I definitely didn't get into nursing for the money but I am just curious.

i got 5 offers from new grad programs in cali:

mind you I was diligent and resourceful with my networking:

Hospital 1: $23.10/hr Ortho Atlanta GA

Hospital 2: $35.90/hr DOU Los Angeles, CA

Hospital 3: $28.00/hr Med Surg Los Angeles, CA

Hospital 4: $31:00/hr Med Surg Los Angeles, CA

Hospital 5: $33.24/hr ED Los Angeles, CA

These were the base rates offered. Depending on the hospital, i got night diff/weekend diff, bilingual pay and so on...

but those were the base rates. Clearly moving out of state would have been a bad idea. That pay sounded ridiculous to me. I was thinking about it if and only if i were approved for a house. However, they didn't want to approve me for the house I wanted so no way! I wasn't prepared to move to a different state, start in a unit that seemed boring. SO LA it was!
