New grad RN in NJ ....please help!

I have been applying for jobs since February and i still am unemployed. I keep being turned down jobs because i don't have experience. So what hospital are willing to take new grads?

Any other new nurses in the same situation. This is so discouraging : ( Help!!)

So my dear friendss...i see the last post is in september...ANYUPDATES in October..looking for a job RN-BSN...in NJ..can anyone give any sort of help tip etc. i dont know ive hit a brick wall.

It took me about 3 months after passing nclex to get my dream job in level 2 trauma center ER as a new grad in north jersey!! Im into my 12th week of new grad orientation and absolutely loving every minute of it.

What i did differently is i got my ACLS and IV certifications and did ER volunteering during my last semester of nursing school. Also i was very proactive, aggressive, persistent and consistent in terms of following up after completing 100+ job apps. I literally emailed/called HR and any nursing administration people i can find online every other day to get me noticed and it worked!!!!! I didnt have any connections during my job search....you have to be pro-active and aggressive about following up after applying online, otherwise, they wont be able to find you! Gooood luck! I am a new grad (nj), graduated 6/5, took nclex 6/23, and got offered a position with a NJ top 10 hospital (two weeks after nclex) without working there!! There is hope, i started applying before i took nclex, after i graduated.

Persistence is key. I put in at least 60-70 applications within their healthcare system.
