  1. Extremely frustrated with NJ BON. I graduated this May and submitted all of my paperwork on May 11. My school sent out letter of completion first week of june and took until 6/12 for BON to process it! I am still waiting for my ATT when some of my peers in a nearby state have already taken and passed the NCLEX!! Any way to put some pressure on them to speed things along? I have a job lined up requiring a hard copy of license by August 15. The woman I spoke with this morning from the BON had the nerve to say "Yeah, we tell people not to get jobs because the process takes a while" SERIOUSLY?!?
  2. I would also like the know the answer to this!! I am interested in applying for the fall of 2016 after I have one year of med/surg experience. Also, is it 3 years of full time course work?
  3. They did not say what floor. I found out on 4/29
  4. Hi, I interview for the Med/Surg units. The way I understood it was that I wouldn't be told which unit exactly until the program started. I'm interested in getting feedback from people who have participated in the program/work as RN's at Valley.
  5. Has anyone applied to this program for 2015 and received a decision yet?
  6. Would you mind sharing what hospital this is referring to?
  7. Thanks, same to you! Any idea when we'll get more info about what we have to do before starting (paperwork, etc)?
  8. I did, I met with a manager last week and got the job!!
  9. I received an email on 3/24 and had to call a few times before speaking with a recruiter. I was able to get in touch with one and have an interview with one of the nurse managers in the next few weeks. I was wondering how the interview process works and if anyone else has accepted a CAP position for 2014. It is my dream to work at MSKCC, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  10. Has anyone been accepted into this program for summer 2014? Or completed it in past summers? If so, how was it? Also, what was the interview like?
  11. Does anyone know what the requirements are to take the CNA exam as a nursing student (ie- how many clinical hours required). I know that you must complete the Fundamentals nursing course prior to taking the exam, but is there an exemption to the skills exam if you have a certain number of clinical hours? I tried contacting the company directly, but was unable to get an answer to the question I was inquiring about. Have any nursing students gotten their CNA license and found it to be helpful? Thanks!
  12. I am a Sophomore at a private 4-year Maryland university. Unfortunately, my school does not have a nursing program and I am looking into transferring to a NJ/NY/CT nursing school. Does anyone have any info on getting in as a transfer to A)NYU B) Seton Hall and C) Quinnipiac. Any recommendations? Opinions? I'd especially like feedback from those who have some knowledge of these programs. Also, I currently have a gpa of 3.471 and am a Biology/Psychology major
