New Grad Residency Children's Health July 2025 Cohort

Published

Hi y'all making this discussion for anyone who has applied to Children's Dallas/Plano new grad residency for their July 2025 cohort! Best of luck to all : )

Hey everybody! I know it's hard to not lose hope, but try to hang in there. For Feb '25 cohort, I had a friend hear back 2 weeks after me (C8) and another (Cardiac ICU) maybe a month later than me. For the latter, she changed her number and forgot to update it so make sure all of your contact is current because they will extend a verbal offer first.

I was told we'd hear back up

to two weeks later. Has anyone reached out to Jala the recruiter to see if she has any updates if we have NOT received an offer nor a rejection letter. I had my interviews last Tuesday 2/18.

I reached out today and did not receive a response. She did tell me that I would hear back by the 24th about a decision, but I did not get a phone call and I haven't seen anyone mention hearing back from my unit. I'm lowkey nervous I just wanna know already LOL.

I don't want to scare you but this happened to me last cohort and I was later then given a rejection letter 😔

my unit said they would decide by Friday 2/21 but that the recruiter had to offer it to you no later than at least 1.5 weeks from the initial interview but also bc if you had two interviews Jala usually offers them both at the same time. So maybe she's just waiting to call / offer when both units have both decided? Not sure

DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE🙏🏼

Oh no 😞 I'm hoping the unit is just taking a little longer to make a decision but most likely I didn't get the position.

Don't say that! I just spoke with someone and they said it's too early to say yes or no. Perhaps it's just rolling. She may be sending offers and perhaps some may decline or keep it. At this point it's best to wait and hope for the best! Don't give up hope. I'm also on edge waiting but keep in mind if you did indeed apply for two units maybe one is taking longer than the other, while that's the case the recruiter will call with both offers at the same time and I suppose that's why it's taking a while. Since you can't be offered one and accept without considering the second offer of the other unit you applied to 🙂

I interviewed Tuesday for the same acute care float pool, and did not hear back today. Hopefully that means we will all hear good news soon!

Now news is good news I suppose? LOL so if majority of us haven't heard perhaps it's just recruiters organizing the calls?🙏🏼❤️😃

Has anyone heard from the GI unit today?
